When God leads His people, they recognize that is He. All Christians should be following Gods word and NOT a church doctrine, if that doctrine conflicts with the written word.

Isa_37:32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. [Isaiahs’ prophecy concerned those TRUE believers in Jerusalem who would follow Jesus’ truth. Once the “desolation” was pronounced, God through a prophecy to Isaiah, revealed that out of Jerusalem, those who believed would go forth with bearing the TRUTH of Gods word, and walk in it.]
Isa_46:3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: [Israel was the Northern kingdom, and Judah was the southern counter-part. God here was speaking to the Northern kingdom of Israel. You know who “I AM”, here again is identified to them YHWH!]

Jer_23:3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. [Apparently Gods flock is a “remnant”, NOT the majority, BUT “the minority” of believers are recognized by Him as His “flock”]
QUESTION: Where does this leave the “MEGA Churches” of today? DO you think there’s a “remnant” there?
ANSWER: Yes there is a “very small remnant” even in these churches, but the majority will be “LOST.” Because their “doctrines” are NOT Biblical, they are accounted as “Babylon” in the eschatology. Theirs is the “Lex Talionis”

Eze_14:22  Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, [Revealed] both sons and daughters: behold, they [Those Remnant Believers] shall come forth unto you, [You who are marginal in your faith] and ye shall see their way [Know their Fruits] and their doings: [Their Lives and how they live them] and ye [You that are marginal in your walk with me] shall be comforted [By the Remnants Faith] concerning the evil [the Destruction] that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

[In this verse is an admonition most likely un-seen by most. NOTICE the underlined above.

QUESTION: How would the MAJORITY be comforted by the MANORITY? How would those, who lamented the destruction of Jerusalem, be comforted by the Remnant that were left?
ANSWER: Those who would be brought fourth, would “console” those who suffered loss in the destruction. The remnant would be a praying, believing group of people, who would “admonish those” who lamented over the destruction, thereby bringing comfort unto them. Because God would show them mercy by sparing their lives, and they would come to realize the fact. Gods true believers, would be there for them.]

Joe_2:32  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Mic_5:8 And the remnant of Jacob [Israel] shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. [No one can STAND against the Remnant.]

QUESTION: What do you think is the correct context of the above verse? NOTICE who God is talking about here.
ANSWER: It’s the Remnant who will tread down and tear to pieces the falsehood of the Gentiles. The remnant will be as strong as a “Lion” in the forest, or as the “Young Lion”, that’s  a dominate predator over the flocks. NONE can gainsay or stand against their doctrine, as it is based on a “thus sayeth the Lord” and NOT man.

Zep_3:13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

These are the “ones” who are the “apple of His [Gods] eye”, not everyone who says “Lord, Lord”

Zec_8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Rom_9:27 Esaias [Isaiah] also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: [NOT ALL of Literal Israel will be saved as taught in todays’ dispensational churches. John Hagee’ church, and the doctrine he teaches, preaches that ALL Israel shall be saved. However that is NOT at all biblical teaching.]

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. [According to Gods own word, the “saints” have THREE identifying characteristics. They have the habit of keeping ALL Gods Commandments, and they have NOT a “faith like Jesus”, BUT they have “the faith of Jesus”. They just as He will have a “faith” stronger than “death”, they will be willing to die for what they believe, just as Jesus died for His faith in the Father, the remnant will be willing to “die” for their faith in Jesus. That’s the “Faith of Jesus.”] Faith in Jesus will NOT stand the end time test that’s coming, for many will abandon their faith when faced with the death penalty.]

Rev 12:17 And the dragon [Satan] was wroth with the woman,[the Church] and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, [True Followers of God and His Word] which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

QUESTION: What is the “Testimony of Jesus”, what was it that Jesus “testified to?”
ANSWER: Jesus’ entire life of ministry was to “testify” of the prophecies that pertained to Himself. Before the Sanhedrin, He spoke of the prophecies that were written of Himself. Jesus’ testimony was that He had the “spirit to discern prophecies”, of course He could because He gave the prophecies. So the testimony of Jesus is the “spirit to discern prophecy.” Below are just a few of the times Jesus both spoke of, and verified prophecy.

Mar_12:10 And have ye not read this scripture; [A Prophecy of David] The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:
Psa 118:22  The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
Mat_11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. [A Prophecy of Malachi]
Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
Mat_26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: [A Prophecy ] but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
Mat_26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. [A Prophecy]
Mar_7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. [A Prophecy]
Mar_9:12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
[A Prophecy]
Mar_9:13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him. [A Prophecy]
Mar_14:21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born. [A Prophecy]
Mar_14:27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. [A Prophecy]

HOW CAN A CHURCH TEACH THAT THE “OLD TESTAMENT” is a dead letter, and that we are NOT to be concerned with it any longer, now that the New Testament is written? The only Bible existent in Jesus’ life was the “Old Testament”, and He quoted from it may times. If OUR LORD used the Old Testament, WE had better use it as well. ALL churches that teach it is NO longer relevant, will be cast into the Lake of Fire, as being part of the “False Prophet.”

So the THIRD and final attribute of Gods remnant people will be that they have the “Spirit of Prophecy”, which is the Testimony of Jesus Himself.

Rev 19:10 And I [John] fell at his [the Angel’] feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, [So both John and the Angel have the Spirit of Prophecy] and of thy brethren [True Believers in Jesus Christ] that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Amen and Amen

We can cherish God’s love because it is the truth about His character that brought us to the truth – and this truth about God’s love will bring God’s people into all truth.
5. 1 Timothy 3:15: God has people in multiple religions, denominations, and congregations – but He will call His people into one organized church because the Bible describes His church as the “pillar and ground of the truth.” God is calling His people to dispose of their prejudices and turn to the Scriptures in order to find the organized church whose doctrines explicitly advocate the keeping of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
6. Revelation 14:12: The gift of salvation defined as the everlasting gospel motivates an end time people, who are described as “patient” by the Almighty, to keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. It is the divine imperative of the end time people of Jesus Christ to propagate the everlasting gospel. Unfortunately, an oft repeated mistake is committed by the Adventist people in attempting to isolate the doctrines and laws from the Gospel. This passage is stating that the people of Jesus Christ to keep the commandments of God because the Gospel motivates them to do the same.
7. Revelation 12:17: This verse identifies God’s people as (1) keeping the commandments of God and (2) having the testimony of Jesus Christ. Therefore, those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus are God’s prophetic remnant (end-time) church.
8. John 14:15: Jesus apprised His followers that love for Him would motivate them to keep His commandments.
9. John 13:35: Jesus clearly stated that love would be a sign to all people of His true followers.
10. Revelation 14:1-5: The gift of salvation motivates Christ’s church to be pure in belief and honest in words and to follow the Lamb wherever he goes. Thus the church of Christ will make short work of their prejudices and follow God’s leading wherever He may lead – including speaking without judgment or guile in order to truly emulate the character of Christ.
11. Revelation 12:11: God’s church overcomes the sin accuser by the blood of the Lamb (cross), the word of their testimony and selfless love. There are seven verses that describe the remnant . . . The church is identifying as overcoming through the blood of Jesus Christ (a strong focus on the gospel of Jesus Christ and His life, death, and resurrection) and through their individual testimonies to how God has led them in their own lives; they also live absolutely selfless lives and do not regard their own biological lives above the cause of Christ or the salvation of others.
12. Revelation 15:2-4:The gift of salvation gives God’s church victory over the all worldly, antichrist powers (beast) and oppressive laws (image to the beast and the mark of the beast) that would attempt to restrict their liberty to worship and glorify God alone. The truth of the three angels’ messages (Revelation 14:6-12) is repeated in this passage, the victory song of the saints who have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and through their individual testimonies of how God has transformed them personally

Appeal:
The Bible defines God’s remnant Church by its connection with Jesus Christ the Rock of the Old and New Testament church. It teaches that there will be an organized body of people who make up the remnant “fold” and many other remnant people who are to be gathered into that “fold.” God calls every person to trust in Jesus Christ, to be covered by Christ’s forgiveness and obedience, standing upon the truth, overcoming guilt and fear by His love. Jesus Christ loves all people, He loves you, and He died for you. Allow that love into your heart and follow Jesus as He leads you to keep His commandments. Keep
His faith and finally stand with the redeemed in the very presence of God. Follow Jesus wherever He goes, and He will give you victory over the beast, the image, and His mark.
Defend It:
Revelation 18:1-4: The topic of the remnant church can be misunderstood by limiting its application to a certain group of people or organized church. God does have an organized remnant (end-time church) and He has many remnant people in other folds. Before Jesus returns, He will call the honest sheep to join together in one fold and to follow the one Shepherd. The people are not identified as evil, it is the papal system that is counterattacked by Scripture . . .
Going Deeper:
1. Revelation 12:1: God’s prophetic church is symbolized by a woman, clothed with Christ’s righteousness (righteous living and dying – symbolized by the sun), established upon God’s word (symbolized by the moon), and organized (symbolized by the 12 stars).
2. Malachi 4:2: Christ is the “sun of righteousness.”
3. Psalm 119:105: The word of God is a “light” to our feet.
4. James 1:1: 12 is a kingdom number representing God’s organized church in the Old and New Testament (12 tribes and 12 apostles).
5. Matthew 16:18: Peter means (4074. Petrov. Petros; a noun akin to 4073, used as a proper name; “a stone” or “a boulder,” Peter, one of the twelve apostles) “Rock” means to (4073. Petra petra; a prim. Word; a (large mass of )rock)
6. Revelation 13:8-10: The lamb slain from earth’s foundation is Jesus. This represents God’s love for every person and produces a remnant people who love every person and refuse to persecute others.
